Archers can claim down from the score they achieve in a FITA Star tournament (ie if you score 1250, then you can also claim for 1150, and 1050) FITA TARGET AWARD - NEWFor the discipline of Target Archery there will be FITA Target Awards. These badges will be on a circular coloured background and awarded for the scores set out in the chart below and for the following rounds.
FITA ARROWHEAD AWARDS: For the discipline of field archery for Barebow, Recurve and Compound divisions. Most arrowhead events shot in Australia are either 2x12T = 24T or 2 x 24T = 48T. However, FITA Arrowhead Round consists of any number of targets between 24-48 targets which is divisible by four (4). Awards can be claimed at any Arrowhead status event whether the round shot is marked or unmarked.
HOW DO I CLAIM FOR THESE AWARDS:Every time a tournament has been sanctioned with FITA through Archery Australia by ASNSW, these are classified as FITA events. If you attain a FITA Star / FITA Arrowhead or any of the Performance awards on offer, you the archer need to mark on the score sheet provided for the event that you wish the award to be claimed on your behalf. The State Recorder, then sends the appropriate form to Archery Australia to claim from FITA on your behalf. Small stocks of stars / arrowheads are kept by Archery Australia, however, the higher the performance award required the longer the issuing of a badge may take. Patience is required in this instance. Again if you are shooting at a State or National Championship event, and you have attained an All Gold or ’60’ Perfect at a particular distance. Mark on your score sheet provided for that event that you wish to claim this award. These are forwarded to club secretaries when received from the State / National Association. IF I SHOOT A RECORD WHAT SHOULD I SEND?As of 1st July, 2001 – ASNSW will no longer be maintaining Minor “M” records, as most clubs within NSW retain Club Records as part of their overall development program for their athletes/members. Only Tournament “T” records will be held for a variety of rounds which are posted on the ASNSW Website. Therefore there is no further need for clubs to forward their shooting calendars to the Society. If a record is shot at a Tournament hosted by a club.Double scoring should apply at all tournaments. The club submits a complete result sheet, which includes the following information:
The Recorder automatically checks what records should be awarded and what age groups are applicable. At the same time these are then cross checked with the National Association database and forwarded to Archery Australia on your behalf If a record is shot at a State Championship event, hosted by a club or undertaken by the Society:The above scoring method, score sheets are preparation of results is required. If a record is shot at a National Championships:The host Society sends to Archery Australia a complete set of results and score cards (within one month of the event). These are then cross checked against the National Association database for National Championships and National Tournament. Record. cards are automatically submitted to State Recorders and listed on the Archery Australia website quarterly. ASNSW members are eligible to claim state records from National Championship events, and these are automatically checked by the State Recorder for you. If a record is shot at an International Tournament: May be recognised as a record provided that adequate evidence of the score and the bona fides of the event are provided to ASNSW for submission to the National Recorder (ie score sheet and/or result sheet)
